Shelbie Fredenhagen and Pine Knoll offer a unique experience for the enthusiastic student. Each session is able to be as long or as short as you would like. This can be combined with a stay on site in a luxury airbnb or on its own as a stand alone intensive day. We offer (3) options:  1. (1 )hour lesson - Which includes learning about the care, behavior, groundwork, and riding in rhythm with your horse. 2. (2) hour lesson - Expanding your awareness of the horse and onto Harmony. 3. (3) hour lesson - This includes an in depth lecture on equine ethology, biomechanics of the horse, and gives you experience in training your eye and furthering your ability in horse handling. Depending on the work you are currently doing (options for beginner riders or people with no horse experience available), Shelbie designs individual lesson plans. You may bring your own horse for this experience, or lesson horses and ponies are available. This is a holistic minded horsemanship and riding package that include the following lecture topics: -The emotions of the horse -The learning quadrant -How to think like a trainer. -Dressage (French for training) lecture modules that can be customized to what you and your horse are working on. -Round table discussions on a variety of topics including horse husbandry animal communication, position on and off the saddle to increase body awareness -Work with the horses -Liberty -Corrective lunging -Postural leading -In-hand work -Lateral exercises -Gymnastic exercises dependent on your horse's bio mechanics -Comprehensive dressage lessons analyzing you and the horse and the level you are riding. -Lunge lessons on the horse focusing on rider position -Cavelettis and gymnastic jumping -Upper level movement preparation in hand and on the back.
